Divi Bijesh is one of India's most successful young female chess players, having already established herself on the national and international stage at just 11 years of age. Representing Kerala, the Woman Candidate Master has combined strong classical performances with exceptional results in international age-group competitions.
Divi's rise through the Indian junior circuit was rapid. In 2024, she won her first National title at the National Under-11 Girls Championship, scoring an impressive 9.5/11 and finishing ahead of WCM Pratitee Bordoloi on tiebreaks. The victory was particularly notable because Divi was still within the younger age group for much of her junior career.
Her international breakthrough came in 2025. At the FIDE World Cup Cadets, Divi won Gold in the Girls Under-10 category, finishing first in her group with 6.5/7 before completing the knockout stages successfully.

In 2026, Divi achieved perhaps the biggest result of her young career. Competing in the Girls Under-12 section of the FIDE World Cup in Batumi, Georgia, she scored 9/11 to win the gold medal. She defeated several highly rated opponents during her run, including WCM Zhansaya Sholpanbek, WCM Elizabeth Zhou and WCM Sharvaanica.
Her victory was especially impressive because of the way she recovered from an early setback. After losing in Round 3 and dropping down the standings, Divi responded with five consecutive wins, moved into the lead and maintained her position until the final round, where a draw was enough to secure the championship.
The 2026 triumph gave Divi an extraordinary achievement: back-to-back FIDE World Cup Cadets titles, winning the Girls Under-10 title in 2025 and the Girls Under-12 title in 2026.
