Sattwik Swain, born in 2016, is one of India’s brightest young chess talents who is already leaving a strong mark on the national and international stage. Representing India, Sattwik has shown exceptional maturity and skill well beyond his years, steadily climbing the chess ladder with determination and confidence.

In 2024, Sattwik achieved a major milestone by clinching the crown at the 38th National Under-9 Open Chess Championship, a remarkable accomplishment that firmly established him among the country’s finest young players. This victory added another jewel to his growing list of achievements, building on his earlier international success.

Notably, Sattwik secured the silver medal at the World Under-8 Championship in Italy in 2024, showcasing his ability to compete with and challenge the best young minds in the world. His consistent performances in such prestigious events highlight his strong positional understanding, fighting spirit, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

Currently, Sattwik holds a FIDE standard rating of 1875, a remarkable number for a player who has not yet reached double digits in age. With every tournament, he continues to refine his style and expand his experience, showing clear signs of becoming one of the future torchbearers of Indian chess.
