Shreyanshi Jain
Shreyanshi Jain, a second-grade student from Neerja Modi School in Jaipur, is already making waves in Indian chess at just seven years of age. Her remarkable skill and unwavering determination recently led her to become the first-ever girl from Jaipur to win the National Under-7 Open & Girls Chess Championship, held in Odisha in June 2025. She sealed the title with an extraordinary perfect 9/9 score, finishing 1.5 points ahead of her nearest competitors.

Earlier in the same year, she also claimed gold at the National Schools Under-7 Championship in Andhra Pradesh, cementing her place as one of India’s most promising young talents.

Shreyanshi attributes her success to the steadfast support of her family, especially her parents Dr. Sushil and Dr. Shimona Jain, her maternal grandfather Shiv Narayan Agarwal, and her coach Tarun Sharma of Zeal Chess Academy, with additional guidance from mentors at Upstep Academy. Local organizations including Waves NGO, Jaipur District Chess Association (JDCA), and Rajasthan Chess Association (RCA) have also extended their heartfelt congratulations for her unprecedented accomplishment.
