  Ayansh Singh from Uttar Pradesh is a promising young chess player whose calm and positional style has begun attracting attention on the national junior chess circuit. Born in 2017, Ayansh has steadily developed his strength through regular competitive play and has already shown that he can challenge some of the highest-rated players in his age group.
  His breakthrough on the national stage came at the 39th National Under-9 Chess Championship 2026 in Ranchi, where Ayansh produced an outstanding performance to finish second with 9/11 points. Starting sixth in the field with a rating of 1768, he finished ahead of several higher-rated players and claimed the silver medal.
  His progress had already been visible at the 2025 National Under-9 Championship, where he finished with 7.5/11 and defeated several significantly higher-rated opponents, including ACM Kavish Palaniappan and Divith Reddy Adulla.
  The 2026 National Championship, however, represents a major step forward. Finishing second in a field that included several of India's strongest young players, Ayansh has established himself as one of the players to watch in India's U-9 generation.
  With his positional maturity, growing experience and ability to challenge much higher-rated opponents, Ayansh Singh is a young talent with plenty of potential for the years ahead.
