Introducing ShareChess Match: Find the Right Chess Coach or Academy in Minutes

ShareChess just launched a free matching tool — tell us your child's age, chess level, city, and whether you'd prefer a coach or an academy, online or offline, and we'll help you find options that actually fit. Try it here →
If you've ever tried to find a chess coach for your child, you know the drill. You ask in one WhatsApp group and get five names. You ask in another and get five different names. Someone swears by an online academy; someone else says nothing beats in-person. Nobody's wrong, exactly — they're just answering for their kid, not yours. And your kid's age, current level, budget, and whether you even have a good offline option nearby are all different from theirs.
We built ShareChess Match because that search shouldn't be this scattered.
How it works
Tell us what you're looking for — coach or academy, online or offline, your child's age band, and current level (or "unrated," if you're just starting out).
We match you against ShareChess's academy and coaching network based on what you told us.
You hear back directly — no more waiting on strangers in a group chat to reply.
It's free, takes under a minute, and there's no obligation attached to trying it.
Why we built it this way
Every "best chess academies" list — including our own — has the same limitation: it's the same list for everyone. A great fit for a 14-year-old rated 1800 and chasing FIDE norms is probably the wrong fit for a 6-year-old picking up the pieces for the first time. Matching asks a few questions first, so what you see is actually relevant to your situation — not just popular in general.
A few quick questions
Is it free? Yes — there's no cost to use the matching tool.
How fast will I hear back? We'll connect you with a fitting match as soon as we can — we're keeping this simple to start.
What if I don't love the suggestions? No obligation to go with anyone we suggest. It's meant to save you a search, not lock you into one.
Can I still browse academies myself instead? Of course — the full academy directory is still there if you'd rather look yourself.
We're just getting this started, so if you try it, we'd genuinely like to know how it went — good or not. Reach us anytime at contact@sharechess.com.
